​TiE Brussels Networking Lounge was a success!!!

For the third year, TiE Global and TiE Brussels in collaboration with Rice University (Houston, Texas), encourage graduate students who are not based in the USA to put themselves in the shoes of a real entrepreneur! Last year, TiE Mentored Company Won $1 million at the Rice Business Plan Competition !

 

TiE Brussels was proud to organise the European Finals of the world's richest business plan competition. The winners of the Brussels Finals are : MyHelpster ( 1st Place and the Best Elevator Pitch),  Rise'N'Shine ( 2nd Place) and ArtFix ( 3rd Place) . The first 2 projects will receive mentoring and coaching prior to entering the competition at Rice in an intense 3-day boot camp hosted by the TiE Houston Chapter and a spot at Rice University competition in front of 250 judges for a total of $1.5 million in prizes in April 2015. 

 

TiE Brussels is part of the global TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) group that is the largest not-for profit organization promoting entrepreneurship. (TiE), was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region. There are currently 12,000 members, including over 2,500 charter members in 61 chapters across 18 countries.

 

TiE’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, and education. Besides TiE International Business Plan Competition TiE  has a wide range of programs including TiE Conference in Silicon Valley, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), TiE Young Entrepreneurs, and, most recently, TiE Women’s Forum and CEO Forum..

 

TiE members are entrepreneurs and professionals who have an interest in moving ahead in their careers or forming a new business and come from many different industries, including: IT, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Banking and Finance, Biotech, Legal Services, and Hospitality. Members have the opportunity to network with industry leaders, and benefit from the guidance of TiE Charter Members and educational opportunities.
